3 Entrepreneurs Who Made It


Recently, India is witnessing a rising number of female entrepreneurs. These women are making a mark in the world with their accomplishments and strong career paths. Recently, Forbes Asia revealed its annual list of Asia’s Power Businesswomen featuring twenty women from the Asia-Pacific region.

Ghazal Alagh and Namita Thapar are three Indian women entrepreneurs that have been included in the 2022 Forbes List of the most powerful businessmen in Asia-Pacific.

India businesswomen 2022 Asia powerlist

These women are included in the annual list for powerful businesswomen. They aim to honor entrepreneurs who have worked tirelessly in their industries and have taken control of their companies as strong leaders.

In honour of these trailblazers the list included 20 women from Asia-Pacific including three Indian women. Forbes honored Ghazal Aagh, Namita Thapar, and Soma Mandal as entrepreneurs. The 2022 list also includes three women from Australia, Japan and Indonesia. The list features two women from South Korea, Thailand and Singapore as well one from China and Taiwan. These women were selected based on their achievements in running their businesses and their leadership skills throughout their careers.

Indian women featured

Ghazal Alagh, 34, is co-founder of Honasa Consumer. This company houses brands such as Aqualogica and The Derma Co.

Soma mondal is also on the list. Mondal’s list of achievements is high and inspirational. She was the first woman chair of the state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd. The organisation’s annual revenue has grown by fifty per cent with profits surging threefold ever since Mondal took charge of the company last year becoming the first woman leader at the company.

Emcure Pharma Namita Thipar, executive director, is the third recipient of the list. Thapar is a powerful businesswoman and author. Her YouTube channel, UnconditonYourself With Namita Thapar, is her third honoree.

These twenty women were selected because of their leadership potential in the face diversity and the challenges that all businesses faced after the pandemic.
