ARMOR Industrial Inks Lab Launches ARStyle, its New Range of Direct To Film Aqueous Inks for Textile Printing

ARMOR Industrial Inks announces its launch of a new range of aqueous aqueous for direct film print, with white stability and washability that are unmatched in other textile applications.

New DTF Ink Range
A2i, a semi-industrial brand of ARMOR Print Solutions (an ARMOR GROUP Company), announces the launch its new range of aqueous aqueous inks for Direct To Film (DTF). The range is aimed at the textile industry and specifically cotton applications. It includes five colours: cyan, magenta and yellow. These aqueous Inks are compatible to several EPSON Printheads. Lastly, these inks are OEKOTEX certified. Standard 100 is a worldwide uniform system for testing, evaluating and limiting harmful substances. The OEKOTEX certification institutes use this standard to certify that textile products are safe. Standard 100 by OEKOTEX – tested for harmful substances – is a label that can be applied to products like ARStyle Inks.

Tom Strähnz, Managing Director A2i Germany, comments “Our range of inks goes beyond functionality; they also cater to the creative needs of companies in the fashion wear industry. Our inks are a brilliant addition to any design, adding a splash of color and a sense of vibrancy. They also have exceptional color retention. Our inks are perfect for printing on cotton or cotton-blend fabrics. They produce outstanding results and make your designs stand out.

Superior washability and stability
In addition to the four CMYK colours, A2i’s R&D team has focused on white, advancing the technological progress through the use of advanced water-based polymers.

Giovanni Manca is the Head of Ink Development. He says that “White is an essential color for textile applications.” As a backdrop on fabric, white plays a crucial role in the brightness and vibrancy of colors. We paid particular attention to this because ARStyle’s White is more stable than the average. The preparation time for a reprint is also shortened. The white ink’s stability ensures a faster restart after production interruptions. “Whether there is a long or short pause in production, our white ink will maintain consistency and minimize disruptions to workflow.”

A2i conducted its own tests, adapted to the ISO 6330 method – Textiles-Domestic washing and drying methods. And the results show that colour loss after 10 washes at 40°C for a 150min cycle is minimal compared to five competitors.

Tom Strähnz, Managing Director A2i Germany, concludes: “The properties of our inks allow the colors to stay vibrant for much longer, which not only meets a quality and aesthetic challenge, but also has an impact on sustainability. Consumers will be able to keep their garments for a longer period of time, which is important in a world that is one of largest emitters greenhouse gases.
