Contech startup founded by ex-Sayeret Matkal officers raises $11 million


Beti is a cloud-based, construction site management software that specializes in safety, labor management and quality assurance. On Thursday, PSG led a $11 Million strategic growth round with participation from 97212 Ventures.

Omer Slavin, the CEO of the company, was fourth-generation in a family that includes contractors and CPO Shir Marutner. Slavin and Mautner served together as officers at the IDF’s General Staff Reconnaissance Unit, better known as Sayeret Matkal. Dekel Schwarzmannm (an ex-Sayeret Matkal Officer) was brought aboard the ship, and he serves as the CTO.

Beti, which was previously self-sufficient, now employs 40 people in Israel as well as the U.S.

Beti offers general contractors and construction developers a one-stop solution for site management. It assists them in addressing safety and compliance issues on the jobsite, as well as improving efficiency and productivity on the jobsite. Beti provides a comprehensive suite of products which include safety, access control quality assurance and process control. Currently serving 300 customers across many sites, Beti’s customer base encompasses a number of Israel’s top 100 construction companies, including Shapir Engineering, BST Group, Ken Hator, Y.H. Dimri, Afcon Group.

Following the opening of the company’s first U.S. office in Brooklyn, New York, this year, Beti plans to accelerate a growth strategy that focuses on expanding into other key East Coast cities including Philadelphia and Miami, as well as business hubs across New Jersey and Connecticut.
