Corning bust leads to 7.4 pounds of meth | News

Henson claimed that Denson was taken into custody at her home.

Henson stated that a positive K9 alert was received at the door of the unit. A search warrant was then obtained and executed.

Agents located 7.4 lbs of methamphetamine, as well as 4.7 ounces worth of marijuana, plastic bags and scales. There was also a large supply of ammunition and one rifle inside a black case.

According to Henson, the storage unit is located within 1,000 feet from a daycare facility. It was confirmed that Denson rented it. He signed a rental contract for the unit.

He stated that Denson was a key figure in the Corning drug scene.

Henson stated that an AK-47 rifle and a lot of ammunition were seized.

Denson is currently in Greene County Detention Center. Denson was charged with trafficking a controlled chemical, a Class Y felony; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession with intent of delivering and distribution of a controlled compound near certain facilities (daycare).

On Tuesday, Denson was charged by a District Court Judge. She was ordered to post bond with a $1million bond.

“Isolated arrests like this one are very impactful for small communities such as Corning. They will see a dramatic decrease in drug sales almost immediately, and the intel we gained from this arrest will lead to the next one and so on,” Henson said.

Law enforcement officers with the Clay County, Greene County and Craighead County sheriff’s offices and the Corning, Paragould and Piggott police departments were involved in the case, according to a news release.
