FAIRFIELD, N.J., Dec. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire–PRWeb/ Keypoint Intelligence has published a market outlook for direct-to garment (DTG) printers in the years 2021-2026. This forecast covers devices that are used for DTG printing. It includes devices with multiple platens, including printers with toner transfer (EP), which compete in the entry-level commercial sector. In the forecast deliverables, there is also a pivot table that includes figures for direct-to-film (DTF).

Direct-to–garment printing involves digitally printing textiles and garments with inkjet technology. Print transport and inkjet-deposition elements are two common solutions that allow you to print on garments when they are finished.

Based on placement information from key vendors, and analysis of machine capabilities in both industrial and commercial environments, the 2021 market for DTG printers was established. Based on market trends, the forecast for 2026 can be broken down into the following regions:

Data gathering and forecasting were completed after the COVID-19 pandemic had ended. However, global economic disruption continues as the economy struggles to recover. The global supply chain and shipping disruptions continue impacting supplies of consumables, parts and garments. Additionally, labor shortages are disrupting normal business operations.

“In 2021 worldwide, direct-to garment printing was achieved $10.5 billion It is estimated to have a print value of approximately 50,000 and an expected annual growth rate of 5%. $21.3 billion By 2026,” claim Johnny Shell, Principal Analyst at Keypoint Intelligence. “Digitally printed garments have reached 958 millions pieces worldwide, with a projected CAGR 16.8% through 2026.”

Some trends include the continued integration of workflow automation with online markets (Amazon, Shopify, etc.). This is made available by both OEMs and third party providers, increasing the competition. The speed gap between industrial and commercial mid-level printers is shrinking, and faster industrial high level DTG printers are proving that digital printing is not too slow. Global ecommerce growth is expected to continue. It will reach a 24.5% market share by 2025. Digitally printed apparel is also trending in the ecommerce direction.
