Pressed on Pine to open for customization needs

WALLACE — When Mark and Anna Berger first bought the building on Pine Street, they planned on using it for Building Maintenance and Supply. Anna considered Ashlee Myles who had worked as a press for four years, while Anna was at school. After having lunch, Pressed On Pine was launched.

“We first started talking about this in September,” Myles said, “Anna was ready to get it started. It’s been in the works for a few months.”

The idea was immediately conceived and they began to work quickly together to get their business started. Myles, the Bergers, and other close friends and family designed the storefront.

They have been working on all the shelving since then, as well as a complete re-design of the front room.

Pressed on Pine currently has a Sublimation printer and a unique Direct to Film Printer. They will soon get an embroidery machine.

It was a team effort of family and friends of the Bergers.

“Everyone has put in effort somewhere. This is like an extension of Ace Hardware, and Northwest Mine Supply and everyone is putting in effort somewhere,” Myles explained.

The employees of Pressed on Pine were able to attend a Long Beach convention which helped them make connections and ultimately led to the purchase of a Direct to Film printer.

This is exciting, as this technology is only available in the U.S. for three year.

D-T-F printing, a heat transfer process, is as durable as traditional silkscreen prints. The image is then printed onto film. You can also print any ink design.

The print can be placed on any background. It is attached with powdered adhesive and can be stuck to just about any surface.

“This isn’t limited to clothing,” Myles said. “You can put this on anything that can withhold heat. You can use it on skateboards, skis, and snowboards. The options are pretty much limitless.”

This will be a one stop shop for customers looking for mass orders for 500-plus employees, or to personalize smaller orders for events like bachelor parties.

The doors of Pressed By Pine will open by the end March. They are still learning the new machines and are working to get to the point where they can fulfill orders. At the beginning of June, a grand opening will be held. Pressed on Pine can be found at 516 Pine St., Wallace. Pressed on Pine can be reached at 208-556-3950 for more information.
