ROQ To Perform Live DTG Demos At PRINTING United

ROQ US, part of the European group ROQ International, producer of screen and digital printing, among other machines for textile and other industries, will use DuPont Artistri water-based pigment inks in live demos in its booth at the PRINTING United (Oct. 18-20, 2023), in Atlanta, USA.

Specialized in DTG (direct-to-garment) t-shirts printing, ROQ chose the Artistri P6000 ink set paired with pre-treatment and color-protect chemistries from Artistri digital inks portfolio from DuPont for the ROQ NOW demos scheduled on:

• Wed. Oct 18: 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm / 4pm

• Thu. Oct 19: 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm / 4pm

The Artistri P6000 ink set was developed for direct-to-garment digital printing on cotton or cotton rich blends for a wide variety of apparel and specialty applications. The brilliant aqueous-based ink is designed to work in printers with high viscosity piezo-electric printheads and is suitable for high quality sampling, strike offs, and production printing.

Artistri P6000 series ink is formulated with proprietary DuPont dispersion and polymer technology and is compatible with industry standard heat tunnel for drying and curing. The ink and pretreatment are integrated into a matched system that works together for optimum throughput and results.

“The perfect result of printing with Artistri P6000 Pigment Ink is achieved with the use of DuPont stain-free pretreatment and the color-protect chemistries,” said Gary Weyman, EMEA business leader for DuPont Artistri Digital Inks.

“Using DuPont’s stain-free pre-treatment enables little to no maintenance on the spray nozzles,” added Ross Hunter, president for ROQ US. “ So now printers don’t have to worry about blocked nozzles, and damaged prints. This technology not only delivers ease-of-use, but also softer hand feel on the garment. When combined with the color protector, best-in-class wash fastness is achieved.”

The ROQ NOW has an exclusive system to print white without the issues of blocked nozzles, typically seen with white DTG inks. Using specialized printheads with recirculating inks, the white station prints with ease. With the Artistri DTG inks series in combination with CMYK+2 it allows printers to have an expanded gamut and create beautiful bright prints that are unique in printing.

ROQ will also lead the panel “DTF, Screen, and Digital Printing,” on Wednesday and Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, that will bring industry experts together to discuss and answer audience questions on how these technologies differ from each other and the role they play in the future of apparel decoration. Scott Donovan, Americas sales manager from DuPont Artistri Digital Inks, will participate in this panel discussion.
